How to Register with Sydney West Rugby Referees Association
If you are new to refereeing and looking for general information, please visit the Referee Recruitment page.
REGISTER WITH RUGBY AUSTRALIA
Either download the "Rugby Xplorer" app (iOS and Android) and follow the prompts, or complete registration online starting here: https://myaccount.rugby.com.au
Use your MyRugby ID, or the email you have been using to log in to the Rugby Portal.
To register you'll need to search for our association. The name in the system is: SYDNEY WEST REFEREES
When you see the screen below, select Match Official. Please do not select Training Only Participant.

There are two types of membership available:
If you have a Working with Children Check but do not have the details on hand, answer 'NO'. These details can be updated another time.
You can get online assistance from Rugby Australia's Help Resources page which includes a registration guide.
Your annual membership subscription ($25 for adults, $15 for students) will be deducted from any end of season payment due to you. Payments are usually made around November after (the rugby season ends around the end of September each year).
Only registered members who are SmartRugby certified are able to be appointed due to insurance requirements. You can check your SmartRugby status and re-certify via the Rugby Learning Centre.

- ‘Referee/Referee Coach/Asst Referee’: For active referees, assistant referees and referee coaches.
- ‘Non-Active Member’: For members who do not intend to actively participate as referees, assistant referees or referee coaches.
