ARE YOU INTERESTED IN BECOMING A REFEREE?
Refereeing is an essential part of Rugby. Ask any referee and they’ll tell you that refereeing is a terrific way to stay fit, active and involved in our great global game.
To cater for the massive growth and interest in Rugby in recent years—especially in the new and expanding residential areas to the west, north west and south west of Sydney—the number of referees and assistant referees needs to be increased urgently.
Our Referee Recruitment page outlines the important role match officials play in every game of Rugby and explains how easy it is to become a referee or assistant referee. If you’re 13 years of age or older and keen to take up refereeing and participate in what really is a fantastic leisure pastime, we can help you to achieve that goal.
Refereeing appointments can almost certainly be organised around your availability and any other activities in which you may be involved. Should transport be a problem, Sydney West members can elect to be appointed to matches in or near to areas they specifically nominate.
